Tools for Using Friendly Plastic

ESSENTIAL TOOLS

·	Good, strong, sharp scissors

·	Thick aluminium foil

·	Non-stick work surface - rubber mat or a piece of 6mm glass with the corners taped or ground smooth. Teflon baking sheet on top of a wooden chopping board, glazed ceramic tile

·	Bowl of cold water

·

Towel

·	Needle tool, bradawl or needle in a cork (for removing softened Friendly Plastic from the source of heat).

·	Heat source - Hot water bath capable of keeping the water at 60-70° c

Heat gun or Oven at lowest setting

OTHER TOOLS & EQUIPMENT YOU WILL FIND USEFUL

·	Embossing tool or other round ended metal implement (old dental tools are good)

·	Non-stick Rolling pin - metal glass, PME or ceramic (short length of copper pipe as used in plumbing works well)

·	Cake decorating cutters or other metal cutters

·	Moulds (metal, glass, ceramic or resin)

·	Rubber stamps and interesting things to impress the plastic and give texture to the surface.

·	Teflon baking sheet
